ABOUT THE PROGRAM:  This program will examine the effectiveness of our estate planning documents when a client begins to lose capacity. Can all of the client's personal and financial needs be addressed with proper planning? Or is there a gap in the law that can be exploited by dissenting family members? What are the best practices to ensure that a client's wishes are fulfilled when the client has become vulnerable?

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:  Diana S.C. Zeydel is a shareholder and Global Chair of the Trusts & Estates/Wealth Management practice of the law firm of Greenberg Traurig, P.A.   She is a member of the Florida, New York and Alaska Bars.  Diana is a past member of the Board of Regents and past Chair of the Estate & Gift Tax Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.  She is an Academician of The International Academy of Estate and Trust Law.  Diana is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar and an ACTEC liaison to the Section.  She is ranked Band 1 Nationwide in Wealth Management and Band 1 in Tax and Estate Planning in Florida by the Chambers USA 2015 Client Guide and is a recipient of the 2014 IFLR/Euromoney “Best in Wealth Management” Americas Women in Business Law Awards.  Diana is recognized as a “key figure in shaping the whole wealth management legal profession,” Chambers USA 2012 Client’s Guide.

Two Meeting Requirement – This the fourth program of the BEPC 2017-2018 year.  To maintain membership in the Baltimore Estate Planning Council, active members are required to attend at least two educational meetings annually. Reservations must be pre-paid. 

Cancellation Policy – Reservations must be canceled in writing or by e-mail and received no later than Friday January 5, 2018.
