New Perspectives on a Persistent Problem: Financing for Long Term Care (LTC) Needs

Date: Tuesday, December 5, 2017
Time: 7:15am - 10:00am
Location: Radisson North Baltimore Hotel, 2004 Greenspring Drive, Timonium, MD 21093
Speaker: Eileen J. Tell, EJ Consulting, Inc.

Sponsored by Maller Wealth Advisors

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:  Decades of product development, sales, marketing and research on private financing for LTC tell us that, for the most part, consumers want to ignore the problem and hope it goes away.  While some consumers acknowledge the risks and costs of needing LTC and understand that these needs are best met when they are planned for, they represent the minority.  And there is still a significant gap between acknowledging the value of planning ahead and taking action toward that goal.  This session explores critical components of the consumer perspective, including persistent factors as well as new challenges and provides an overview to both public sector and private industry attempts to address them.  The course also describes current developments and emerging trends in both the public and private sector roles for addressing the challenges of financing LTC needs.
